Rochester’s Generous Donors Honored

A community based in Rochester awarded the area’s generous donors. Around 500 guests graced the occasion and made the award ceremony an affair to remember.

The Rochester Area Community Foundation works towards addressing and helping social causes in local areas, raising funds to help other organizations and more. The aim of this foundation is to help the needy in the best possible. The foundation has managed to raise a lot of money towards helping the social causes. This would not have been possible without the support of its generous donors. The foundation thus decided to honor the donors who are contributing their bit generously in helping social causes.

The foundation honored 6 philanthropists for their contributions towards religion. This event took place at the Riverside Convention Center. The function was a hit and people assembled were proof of the fact that despite the slumped economy there are hands that are donating. Many people shied away from donating saying the economy was going through a bad time and they could not think of donating money. Even in the recession times the good work continued thanks to some philanthropists who feel giving is the only way of living.

Mark and Kathy Cleary received the awards for helping several organizations with generous donations, Mark and Bobbie Hargrave for helping the people who have hearing problems and Nannette Nocon for their contributions in arts and education sector. The community feels that any great act should be honored and when its philanthropy it should not go, unnoticed.
